Bradford´s place in the annals of cinematic history is unique. From the 1890s, when cinema was bursting on to the world stage, the city was a hotbed of activity with experiments in film making, camera construction and projector development. In later years it provided the backdrop for a number of classic films which transformed cinema forever. Bradford was called ´the cradle of the cinema industry´ and today it has earned its status of UNESCO ´City of Film´.
Let Yarn Spinners tell you the tale of this history and take you to some of the key areas which have been used for classic films such as Billy Liar, Room at the Top and for Television productions such as No Angels, Frost and Coronation Street.

Duration: 2hrs
Meet: National Media Museum
